Some of our products are used as portable devices. For these products, we are providing touch protective leather belt pouches to protect the products and allow them to be transported hands-free.
The new FLX-Pouch is made to suit 1″ (inch) hex brass products, with a secure press-stud closure, heavy duty belt clip made as a pouch using touch thick leather covered with highly visible material. For the FLX635-ST fibre test laser especially, the fibre-optic coupling is relatively fragile and should be protected as well as possible. Allowing the fibre-test laser to be carried in a belt pouch provides safe carriage, and easy safe access.
Shown on the left is a FLX635-ST IECEx Certified fibre test laser product, with the FLX-Pouch for transport.
Hand loop, belt clip, secure press stud, reflective high-visible tape, thick leather with a tough highly visible yellow coat.
The new belt pouches suit the FLX635ST fibre test lasers, and also the SLX-635S alignment lasers due to identical size and shape of the products.
In underground coal mines where the roof height is low, laser guidance is often achieved using lasers attached to stringlines. Until now, many mounting systems using 3D printed plastics have been used, however non-FRAS plastics have become a focus of discussion recently.
The geometric shapes of Applied Resolution Technologies IECEx Certified lasers allow for casting of FRAS-Approved materials into steel hanger structures (steel allows magnetic seperators to retrieve any products accidentally knocked off the roof).
The new stringline mounts are designed to cater for the SLX-635S lasers, which are now available with either 2 x AA cells or 3 x AA cells. The new 3 x AA cell version provides significant improvement of battery life in the product, allowing the batteries to be used until they are drained before the laser voltage thresholds are reached.
