IECEx CERTIFIED RED LASERS
First released in 1995, the SLX-635P was one of the very first Intrinsically Safe lasers ever launched. Still manufactured, however we refer you to improved versions SLX-635S. We are ceasing further manufacture of this model for general supply, but for the die-hards, we will supply a minimum quantity special batch.
The SLX-635S is an updated version of the SLX-635P laser, with significantly improved optics for tighter collimation over long distances.
Safe, Class 2 (1 mW)Version.
It is still manufactured using the classic and characteristic 1″ hexagonal shape for easy mounting and adjustment.

Higher power Class 3R 5mW version.
Class 3R lasers are more powerful, therefore require special attention to laser safety procedures. We normally recommend the BLX-635S laser for longer distances.
The SLM-635S laser head is a 1mW (Class 2) red laser that requires an Intrinsically Safe battery module. Please choose either SB-3C or BB-3C (preferred) battery modules.
The modular form of the ART IECEx Certified lasers allows the laser head to remain in the mounting structure while the battery modules are removed for replacing of alkaline cells. This minimizes disturbance to alignment of the laser.
The SLM-635S is a modular laser head with 5mW red (Class 3R) laser output, with significantly improved optics for tighter collimation over long distances.
It is still manufactured using the classic and characteristic 1″ hexagonal shape for easy mounting and adjustment.
The BLX-635S is a 5mW (Class 2M) laser head that requires an Intrinsically Safe battery module, preferred system is BB-3C. The BLX-635S is a long range laser with a 20mm diameter beam for better collimation over long distances. It comes with an adjustable iris for ease of close-range alignment.
IECEx CERTIFIED GREEN LASERS
1mW (Class 2) laser with integral batteries
The SLX-515S laser is the green brother of the SLX-635S (red) laser. Built into the familiar 1″ hex brass extrusion, the SLX-515S provides a clean collimated green beam that is useful for up to 300 metres.
Given that green semiconductor lasers have higher voltage thresholds than red lasers, the SLX-515S uses 5 x AA cells. This makes it a slender 320mm long.
The SLM-515S comes as a Class 2 (1mW) or Class 3R (5mW) modular laser head that requires a 5-cell battery pack. Choose either the SB-5C or BB-5C (most popular).

For longer range applications, we recommend the BLX-515S laser head above the Class 3R version of the SLM-515S due to the Class 2M laser safety classification of the BLX-515S.
